Dear Barbara,
This is a letter informing you how much I like your product. The Barbara Tease® character is original and impressive. Your T-shirts, tote bags and golf shirts are all of the highest quality in material and your clever images of Barbara in various predicaments in various sports are entertaining and eye catching. I think with some reliable financial backing and excellent marketing your Barbara Tease® collection will catch on and become a money making product. I even envision bath towels, pillow cases and sheets with your character painted across them.
Good luck and please let me know how you are doing.
Sincerely,
Jamie Farr
Dear Ms. Agerter
My name is Hans, I am 59 yrs old, work as cook and whenever I have time I am looking for political and humorous cartoons and illustrations. Well, it is no problem to get good books about comics, cartoons and other artworks in Germany, but I want to know all about the most humorous and fascinating artists in the world! So regularly I am searching in newspapers in every country and in the world wide web.
That is why I know and love your artworks a lot. Your style and characters are marvelous and unique and I need to tell you my honor and respect. I think you are one of the most interesting artists in your country, and so you are very busy and there is less time, but I need to tell a little bit mad and impertinent request in hope you are not angry at me. For this you need to know that I am visiting some events in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and France and there I meet the artists live. So years ago, besides many books, sketches and illustrations, I started to collect the autographs from the worlds best cartoonists. Now my wife is a “pig-fan” (no jokes please) and therefore I am so bold to beg for an autograph in combination with this animal. Well, I know this is only a mad letter from a stranger in Germany, but you could make me/us very proud and happy if you are so kind to send me your autograph on the card included and only if there is a little time, you would make me and my wife more than happy by sending us your very, very simple black and white interpretation of anything “piggish” too! Oink! Of course advertising is welcome as well. Maybe we are lucky?
Thank you so much for your listening and pains.
Thank You! Without any expectation, but in hope of an answer..
We keep watching and loving your work on and on..
Best Wishes and Compliments, Luck, Laughs, Health..
And never ending Creativity,
Sincerely Yours,
Hans T.
